Don't listen to the haters. This is one of the BEST green screens you can buy. It's made of a stretchy Lycra type material with a felt like pile on the front. When you mount it on a backdrop bar and attach clamps to the side you can stretch it out and COMPLETELY remove ALL the wrinkles. You should NOT need a steamer after using this at least one time. In fact, I don't think I ever used a steamer on this backdrop.When you store it, do NOT fold it. Instead, ball it up loosely and store it in the bag it came in. It's better to have a lot of little wrinkles than a few hard creases because the little wrinkles stretch out easier.This backdrop is not as reflective as the cotton mulsin type especially the ones that have a sheen to them. This material does somewhat absorb the light but you will still have to observe chroma keying best practices of keeping your subject 3-6 feet from the backdrop to reduce spill.Keep in mind your subjects skin or clothing may be reflective even though rid backdrop is not. However you can put subjects closer to this backdrop than most others. I've pulled clean keys off this backdrop with the subject about 1 foot away.One of the benefits of this fabric is that it disperses the light evenly. If you don't over light it you will have very few hot spots, dead spots, or shadows.There are 3 things I don't like about this backdrop. They are compromises that have little to do with the actual function of the backdrop so I'm not removing stars for it. Plus the benefits outweigh the cons.1: I didn't like the GIANT black brand label they sowed on the FRONT of the green screen. I removed that IMMEDIATELY by carefully cutting the thread. Now I see all green.2: This type of material attracts dirt and dust bunnies pretty easily. But that shouldn't be a huge problem with this particular length because it's really too short to stand on for most shoots. This brings me to my next point...1: Sometimes I feel this 10' version is a little too short but I don't shoot chroma key head to toe often. This version is best used for up to 3/4 length photos.If you plan on shooting full length or large groups get the 20' version found below.I personally don't like 20' backdrops in general. 20' is a lot of material and can be hard to handle, clean, and store if you move them around a lot like I do.
