This harmonica is made in Germany.Wood comb.Brass reeds.14 holes (28 notes blow & draw).Diatonic special tuning in Major Keys only. The name of this item is Hohner 14-hole Marine Band_Model 365/28 in Key of C_or to be exactly,we should call it a LOW-C harmonica, for the lowest-pitched 1896 10-Hole Marine Band is only a Low-D.This item belongs to a separate product line of Hohner diatonic Harmonicas : _Model 364/24 (12 holes) : 3 pieces in key of C, D, G _Model 364/24 Soloist (12 holes) : 1 piece in key of C only _Model 365/28 (14 holes) : 2 pieces in key of C, G _Model 365/28 SBS (14 holes) : 5 pieces in key of C,D,F,G,A Due to some negative reviews ,I have been hesitating for years before buying this harp. Now I feel safe and happy with this buy : Everything works excellent. No issues.Sounds like a bigger Hohner Blues-Harp in volume and tone.Airtight and responsiveness great ...As a LOW-C,hole #4 on this harmonica has the same pitch with hole #1 of a normal 10-hole diatonic in key of C (blow C4,draw D4).Thanks to its length (14 holes) and special tuning, it offers 2 complete octaves at the middle (from hole #4 to hole #11).So it can play those songs that cannot be played with a normal 10-hole diatonic in C (missing F4 and A4 on the 1st incomplete octave). As a hobbyist tune-player I don't have any troubles with this tuning style on this harmonica : a couple of breath adjustments here and there does not seem to be a big deal.I play all my favorite songs with this piece as easy as with the other harmonicas I have.
